About FreelanceMail

FreelanceMail is built and run by Zhaosheng Lin, an independent developer from China.

Why I built it

While researching what freelancers and solo consultants outside China need help with, one task kept coming up: finding new clients. For many of them that means writing outreach emails, and a good one takes time, because you have to look at each prospect's business before you can say anything specific.

FreelanceMail does that first draft. You describe your service and paste a prospect's website. It reads their homepage and about page, then writes a first email and two follow-ups. You edit them and send them from your own inbox.

About the blog

I'm not a freelancer myself. The guides on the blog are based on common cold email practice. I don't publish made-up statistics: when an article uses a number, it links to the source.
